Operations

The Operations Division is responsible for safeguarding all residents and visitors in the City of West Palm Beach.  It is also responsible to fire rescue services in the Town of Mangonia Park. This includes:

There are 204 cross-functional personnel assigned to one of three 24-hours shifts.

There are five Engine Companies; two Truck Companies; One combination Engine/Heavy Rescue Company; ten EMS/Rescue Companies, a regional Hazardous Materials response team, two Adaptive Response Companies, and one Special Operations Unit strategically located in eight fire stations to respond to emergencies citywide.

The present Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating is a "2". This is based on the city's Communication system, water supply for fire suppression and the number of firefighters and fire equipment. The rating is 10-1, with 1 being the best.
