How do I get a library card at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach?

The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach will issue free library cards with full borrowing privileges to anyone who lives, learns, works or plays in the City of West Palm Beach.

To register online, click here and follow the online instructions. Once you have registered, you will be able to place items on hold, though you will have to come into the library with a photo ID to pick up your library card.

Of course, you can also come into the library with proper picture identification and register for a library card.

Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • Driver’s License
  • Federal/State/Military I.D. Card
  • Passport
  • Occupational License
  • Work Related Identification Card

All children under the age of sixteen (16) must have parent or guardian signature to receive a library card.

Proof of current address is required if the picture ID does not have a current address. Any of the following are acceptable:

  • Utility Bill
  • Credit Card or Other Bill
  • Bank Statement
  • Updated Driver’s License or State ID with Current Address
  • Any Other Official Mail or Document
  • School Identification Card
