About this Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers are needed to work on Saturdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. throughout the year. Parks division staff will be on site to give direction and supervise. Volunteer duties will include picking up litter, pulling weeds, planting flowers and shrubs and other tasks as needed. Volunteers may work as many weeks as they'd like and as many hours as they like within the 9:00 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m. time frame.

Requirements

  • A love of gardening.
  • General knowledge of gardening principles.
  • Basic gardening equipment (gloves, weed pulling tools, etc.).
  • The desire to keep our waterfront fresh and clean.
