What:

  • The Keep America Beautiful, Great American Clean Up is the nation's largest community improvement program. It engages more than 5 million volunteers and participants every year to create positive change and lasting impact in local communities. (Bolden) Individuals, families and groups are encouraged to participate.
 

Where:

  • The Evergreen Cemetery (2825 Rosemary Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407)
 

 Additional Information:

  • Volunteers will be assisting in the restoration of headstones dating back as far as the 1800's. We will use a non-toxic spray solution that volunteers will scrub into the headstones, removing years of dirt and algae. We will also be removing any trash/litter, as well as any overgrowth within the cemetery. All tools, supplies and refreshments will be provided by West Palm Beach's Volunteer Services Division. This volunteer opportunity is suited for individuals 8 years old and above.
