Nature Center Stewards

About this Volunteer Opportunity

You will interact and greets all visitors coming into the Nature Center. You will dispense information, make program reservations, keep nature videos running and answers phones, etc.

May also include some office duties.

Between visitors you may choose to pursue your interests, such as reading a book (we have a small very interesting and well stocked book and video library on Florida’s natural environment).

Requirements

****Minimum volunteer age 16 years old and up. A completed Volunteer application and background check is required.

You must be friendly, outgoing and enjoy working with the public.

You must become familiar with basic Nature Center operations and some knowledge of the Preserve’s plants, animals, and habitats helpful.

A weekly 4-hour volunteer shift is preferred with a minimum of two shifts per month required. You may chose a specific morning or afternoon for scheduling purposes.
