CWPB FLEET LEADER NAMED RECIPIENT OF FLEET EXCELLENCE AWARD BY NAFA FLEET MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
Mr. Guzman was recognized by NAFA for a program that significantly increased employee productivity and morale within the fleet team
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (April 24, 2019) – Mayor Keith A. James and the City of West Palm Beach are pleased to announce that City of West Palm Beach Director of Support Services Mario Guzman, CAFM, has been named a winner of the 2019 Fleet Excellence Award (FLEXY) honoring high-impact fleet professionals by the NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association. Mr. Guzman was recognized by NAFA for a program that significantly increased employee productivity and morale within the fleet team, including “professionalizing” the fleet staff and instilling a culture of trust.

Mr. Guzman was presented the award on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at the Kentucky International Convention Center, Louisville, Ky., during NAFA’s annual conference, the Institute & Expo (I&E). Additionally, the winners were invited to present at an I&E session outlining their best practices in fleet and shared ideas with other fleet professionals.

According to NAFA, the FLEXYs shine a spotlight on those who have impacted fleet management in both the corporate and public fleet segments during the previous year. The awards’ nomination process was open to all fleet professionals throughout the United States and Canada, regardless of NAFA Fleet Management Association membership status.

The City of West Palm Beach fleet consists of 1358 units and 23 employees of which 18 are technicians.
