WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (May 28, 2019) –
The City of West Palm Beach and the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association (PBA) jointly announce that the PBA proudly supports West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James’ choice of Frank Adderley as Chief of the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD). The PBA believes that no national search is needed for a new chief. Mayor James has provided to the PBA assurances that outgoing police chief Sarah Mooney will be employed by the City and allowed to finish her career with the WPBPD.
“We support Mayor James’ choice in Chief Frank Adderley as Chief of the West Palm Beach Police Department and believe there is no need to conduct a national search for a new chief,” said Palm Beach County PBA President John Kazanjian. “We are also very happy with the assurances he’s provided to us that Sarah Mooney will, indeed, finish her career with the West Palm Beach Police Department.”
