WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (April 20, 2017)—Local business owners and corporate hiring managers can now sign up to participate in the 2017 Young Adult Job and Resource Fair hosted by the City of West Palm Beach. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Mary McDonald Wilson Center at 1501 North Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach. Business owners and hiring managers can register on the City’s website at www.wpb.org.
The 2017 Young Adult Job and Resource Fair attracts the best and brightest local job applicants ages 17-to-25 for a live, hiring event. More than 25-local businesses have agreed to participate, and the annual event—now in its fifth year-- draws hundreds of young individuals seeking employment opportunities. The City will also have resources available for internships, apprenticeships and future career paths.
“The participation of our business community is so important,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio. “The 17-to-25 age group has been a critical focus of our efforts to ensure young men and women are employed over the summer and, potentially, year round.”
“Employers will discover good candidates who are ready to work hard,” said Kevin Jones, Coordinator of Community Initiatives in the Office of Mayor Jeri Muoio. “This is a unique chance for employers to meet some of West Palm Beach’s most motivated and responsible young adults.”
The event has already generated the support of key sponsors including radio station X102.3 and, also, CareerSource.
