The City of West Palm Beach’s Grassy Waters Preserve will host one of a series of “Dry Marsh Hikes” on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grassy Waters Preserve south side nature center, located at 8264 Northlake Boulevard.
The Dry Marsh Hike will provide a rare opportunity for hikers to see the huge impacts droughts have on plants and animals. The hikers will be walking in to areas that are normally covered with water. On the hike, staff members will discuss current water-use restrictions and share conservation tips.
This ongoing hike series will be free of charge, and is part of the City’s overall effort to educate residents on water conservation. Please call Grassy Waters Preserve at 561-804-4985 for information on scheduling and availability.
