Friday, July 06, 2007 – The City of West Palm Beach has placed the City’s 2007 Hurricane Guide on the City’s website, wpb.org, making this valuable resource available to anyone who needs it twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
This important guide contains crucial information, including contact information for City officials and departments, steps on how to create a disaster survival kit, shelter locations, and advice on how to protect your home and property in the event of a storm.
“It’s never too early to start preparing for hurricanes and the storm season, and this guide is an excellent resource for people hoping to do just that,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Lois J. Frankel. “It’s important that people take the necessary steps to prepare themselves and their families for the threat of hurricanes.”
In addition to being posted on wpb.org, the 2007 City Hurricane Guide has been printed and distributed to neighborhood associations, assisted living facilities, group homes, apartment complexes, condominium associations, and more.
