July 20, 2007 – The City of West Palm Beach’s government access television station, West Palm TV, continues to expand and diversify its programming, and has also recently upgraded its website aimed at making on-line programming and other resources more accessible.
“West Palm TV continues to be a top-notch government access station, providing important information to residents and visitors alike,” said Mayor Lois J. Frankel. “The enhancements in programming and on-line will help West Palm TV continue to provide a window in to local government.”
Beginning Saturday, July 21, 2007, West Palm TV will offer a program to the local Hispanic community, in partnership with WPTV NewsChannel 5. West Palm TV will be airing WPTV’s “Hablando con la Communidad,” a Spanish-language news and issues program. The show will air Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 P.M. Other Spanish-language programs and public service announcements are planned for the West Palm TV program schedule in the near future.
The station’s new-look website, www.wpbtv.org, now features an up-to-the-minute program guide, upgrades to the “video on demand” section, and more. Access has never been easier. Even if you don’t live within the City limits, you can still watch West Palm TV via the station’s live webcast at www.wpbtv.org. The webcast has seen tremendous growth in viewership since its inception.
