City hires independent experts to analyze water system

(Friday, November 2, 2007) City of West Palm Beach Mayor Lois J. Frankel approved the hiring of the U.S. Water Services consultant group to perform a comprehensive independent analysis of the City’s water system and recommend improvements and upgrades. A U.S. Water Services team began the assessment immediately. The hiring was made with the cooperation and approval of the Palm Beach County Health Department.

 “I’m confident that this independent team of expert analysts will help us improve our water system,” said Mayor Frankel. “We remain committed to providing safe, reliable drinking water, and will do whatever is necessary to upgrade our system to prevent future problems.”

U.S. Water Services provides water treatment management consulting services. Their analysis of the West Palm Beach water system will include examinations of water quality, engineering, equipment, chemistry, analytical services and training.
