The City of West Palm Beach will add the “scare” to Centennial Square and “creep” to Clematis Street as they “spook up” Downtown West Palm Beach with costume contests for all ages, free candy for the kids, and more. Kids can come dressed up as their favorite character and enter the costume contest to win lots of fabulous prizes. And adults that get in spirit this Halloween and dress up in costume have a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card grand prize courtesy of Heineken. The kids costume contest will begin at 7:00 pm and the adults costume contest will begin at 8:00 pm in front of the Clematis by Night stage.
Wild 95.5 fm, Palm Beaches’ Hit Music Station, will present rising pop star SHONTELLE performing her new hit single “T-Shirt.” Shontelle has been compared a lot to pop superstar Rihanna, especially since they were childhood friends. And if history is any indication, this beautiful and talented singer/songwriter from Barbados is sure reach the pop glam status of her predecessor. While Shontelle has been a hit in the Caribbean for a few years, she is now hitting the US music scene in 2008 with her debut album Shontelligence and her hit single “T-Shirt”. Opening for Shontelle is Hollywood Lovescene, a new alt/rock band causing a very big stir with its infectious brand of music and powerful live performances. A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit Animal Rescue Force.
Clematis by Fight is produced by the City of West Palm Beach and sponsored by Wild 95.5 fm, The Palm Beach Post, Wachovia, WPTV NewsChannel 5, Coca-Cola, Coors Light, Heineken, Samuel Adams, the West Palm Beach Marriott, and many others.
