(02/27/09)  City officials will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a vacant lot that has been transformed into a Butterfly Garden on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.  The ceremony will be held at the southwest corner of 11th Street and Tamarind Avenue in West Palm Beach.

Once a vacant lot that contributed to blight, the butterfly garden is now a passive park designed for the community to enjoy.  The park includes a small plaza which can be used for small social gatherings and outdoor events.  The park’s plants are designed to attract butterflies while beautifying the area.
