When: Monday, May 18 11AM
Where: Centennial Square, Clematis St.
Construction on the new Waterfront Commons project is set to begin when we “uncork the bottle” on Monday, May 18th at 11AM by beginning demolition on the old city library.
Come learn about this incredible new destination complete with a new beach, waterfront pavilion, exotic gardens, and many more unique amenities for residents and visitors. Photo CD’s and blow-ups will be on site for the media to show the public how the waterfront will be transformed over the next few months.
Removal of the old library is an important step as this will open Clematis Street to waterfront views and provide easy flow and access to this new jewel in the city’s crown.
A brief ceremony featuring the Mayor and other dignitaries will honor the old facility and will be followed by a shower of confetti as the demolition starts and the new waterfront era begins.
Join us for this colorful event with an exotic performing island band, an explosion of confetti, building demolition and photographic details of these one of a kind facilities as we take West Palm Beach into the era of an open public waterfront.
