It’s a Baby Shower—for 75 Moms!

Donations Needed to Help Support Shower as Part of “Make a Difference” Day

(Thursday, October 8, 2009)  You’re invited to help support a baby shower—for 75 soon-to-be Moms!

As part of “Make a Difference Day,” the City of West Palm Beach’s Vickers House will be giving 75 babies a wonderful beginning through a group baby shower for their moms.  The moms are all being assisted by the Vickers House’s Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies program and are financially limited as to what they can afford on their own.

The Vickers House is asking the community to donate gifts for the moms.  The items that are most needed are: onesies (baby body suits) in neutral colors, hooded baby towels in neutral colors, diapers (sizes 1-4), baby wet wipes, baby blankets, baby lotions and shampoo, baby socks and baby shoes.

The baby shower will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Vickers House South at 3801 Georgia Avenue.

Please wrap these gifts and drop them off at either Vickers House location before Thursday, October 22.  The Vickers Houses are located at 3801 Georgia Avenue and at 811 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and are accepting donations Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  For more information please call 561-804-4975.
