WPB GreenMarket Celebrating 15 Years

Popular Family-Friendly, Downtown Event Bigger and Better than Ever

(Wednesday, October 14, 2009)  The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is back for a 15th year of locally farmed, fresh products and free family fun in a beautiful setting—and this year the market is bigger and better than ever before.

A record number of vendors, all offering specialty products and foods, will be on-hand when the market opens for the season on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Guests are invited to stroll through the beautiful GreenMarket setting on West Palm Beach’s waterfront.  You can browse the best collection of farm-fresh produce, beautiful orchids and flowers, tasty breads and the freshest food around, listen to live music and enjoy coffee or breakfast at our outdoor GreenMarket café, or just soak in the beautiful downtown waterfront scenery.  Whether you’re having some friends over for a cookout, planning a special sit-down dinner or just looking to pick up some healthy snacks for the work week, the WPB GreenMarket is your neighborhood shopping place.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is every Saturday, beginning October 17th, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Second Street and Narcissus Avenue just outside the old City Hall.  As always, the event is free of charge, and free parking is offered in the Banyan Street garage during market hours.  For more information, call 561-822-1515 or visit wpb.org/greenmarket.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is the area’s most original and popular GreenMarket.  The event is dog-friendly and is always free of charge.  The WPB GreenMarket is produced by the City of West Palm Beach Mayor’s Office Community Events Division and is sponsored by the Palm Beach Post, Southern Waste Systems, the Palm Beach Daily News, WIRK 107.9 FM and Sunny 104.3 FM.
