The Northwood Village Art & Wine Promenade on Friday, October 30th, will feature live music by three bands, Billy Bones, Sonny Russell and Pan Man Machines Steel Drums; three FREE  “bootique” wine tasting stations; and more than thirty streetside artist trunk shows along with special offers at participating shops and restaurants.  This monthly event recently won the distinguished Roy F. Kenzie Award from the Florida Redevelopment Association for Cultural Enhancement.

To enhance one’s cultural experience in Northwood Village and in celebration of  National Art & Humanities Month, local artists and event attendees will create a community mural during the Art & Wine Promenade. Attendees will have the opportunity to paint on a giant canvas with the help of local mural artist, David Alfonsetti. The mural project will take place in the information booth located at the corner of Northwood Road and Spruce Avenue. This free activity will be a part of each monthly Art & Wine Promenade until the 5′ x 30′ canvas is complete. This activity will take place along with many other creative and goolish activities offered by individual merchants during this very special, festive event.

In keeping with the Art & Humanities month theme and the spirit of Halloween, several Northwood Village merchants will be open late tonight, offering pumpkins for sale with the opportunity to paint them and showcasing local artists works.
