Clematis by Night Winter Schedule Announced

Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Sabor Latino covers a range of great tunes from bands and artists like La Fania All Stars, Mongo Santamaria, Poncho Sanchez and more—all while adding their own unique twist.  Sabor Latino can put together a slammin’ set of Salsa or step it down a notch with Latin Jazz tunes that are great for listening or dancing.  A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit the West Palm Beach Downtown Neighborhood Association.

Amandla Tunesmith is an African Dance Band that plays “Soukous”. From the French word for “Shake,” Soukous music originates in Central Africa and is quickly spreading through out the rest of the world.  It incorporates sensual rumba rhythms with Cuban and Caribbean influences, catchy call and response vocals, lively guitar and bass lines and hot percussion to create a sound that is guaranteed to make you move.  A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit the Women of Note Chorus.

The members of Blues Dragon have been a constant on the South Florida music scene for over a decade. A real home-grown find, their musical associations with each other go back over ten years.  During their live concerts, Blues Dragon delivers their unique interpretations of early American blues and folk songs dating from the mid 1800′s through the 1940′s.   A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit the Sammy Wilkinson Memorial Foundation.

Mitch Woods and his Rocket 88’s have been the torchbearers of a great American blues heritage for two full decades!  They take their inspiration from the great jump n’ boogie outfits of the late 40s and early 50s and are promising to get CbN jumpin’!  Their “rock-a-boogie” brand of music is sure to bring a good time to all within earshot.  A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit the Palm Beach Punishers.

The Evil Monkeys are a comprised of some of the most talented, versatile and experienced local musicians Palm Beach County has to offer. The Evil Monkeys have wasted no time in making their presence well known in South Florida and will be bringing their impressive live shows blend a mix of rock, blues, funk, dance, top 40 and reggae to the stage.  A portion of this evening’s proceeds will benefit the Delta Heritage Foundation.

From I-95 exit east onto Okeechobee Boulevard.  Travel east on Okeechobee until you reach Quadrille Boulevard.  Turn left (north) onto Quadrille Boulevard and proceed north until you arrive at Clematis Street.  At Clematis Street make a right (east) and continue east past Olive Avenue to Centennial Square.  Centennial Square is located in the 100 block of Clematis Street between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive.

Parking
Ample public parking is available at the following City garages and surface lots at reasonable rates:
The NEW Clematis Street Garage, located on the corner of Clematis Street and Quadrille Avenue.
The NEW City Center Garage, located on Dixie Highway between Banyan Street and Clematis Street.
The Banyan Street Garage, located at Banyan Boulevard and Olive Avenue, just one block North of Clematis Street
The City Hall surface parking lot, located East of City Hall at Olive Avenue and Banyan Street, just one block North of Clematis Street
The Evernia Street Garage, located at Evernia Street and Olive Avenue, just two blocks South of Clematis Street

Numerous private parking lots in the downtown area are also available for parking and a free trolley runs round-trip from Clematis Street to CityPlace.
