The City of West Palm Beach will continue its effort to create green jobs, protect our environment and help people save money on energy costs at the Second Annual Sustainability Summit.  The Summit is being held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion.

One of the main topics of the Summit will be creating green jobs and attracting green businesses to West Palm Beach.  More than 500 people have registered to attend this free event.  Participants will learn how to save water and energy in their homes and businesses, which saves them money on energy costs.  All 500 people will receive free water and energy conservation kits provided by the City through a federal grant.

The Summit will also feature U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Senior Climate Change Advisor, Ken Mitchell.

NOTE:  Registration for the Summit is currently at capacity.  No new registrations are being taken.
