City of West Palm Beach Star Party
This Friday evening (August 20) the stars will be in perfect alignment for viewing and the Great Lawn of the West Palm Beach Waterfront with be filled with telescopes from Dusk through 10PM. Everyone is invited to look to the sky at the City’s Star Party hosted by the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches. You can also meet Astronaut Dr. Edgar D. Mitchell from 7 – 9 pm.
A special exhibition of photographs of the universe and distant galaxies will also be open in the lake pavilion through Sept.19th. Astrophotographer Robert Fugates’ works are on display along with space suits from NASA and Russia. Enjoy an evening filled with the “real stars” of our world and an exhibit that will open your mind to the vast universe we share. Here’s a look at all the celestial events which are free and open to the public (Science Museum event is a $5 – $10 admission).

Wednesday, Sept.1, 7:00 PM – Galileo, a presentation of the successes and struggles of one of histories greatest minds by Al Lesorte in the Library Auditorium:
Saturday Sept.11, 1:30 PM – Star Gazer lecture by astrophotographer, Robert Fugate in the Library Auditorium followed by reception in the WPB Waterfront Lake Pavilion.
