Cross to Perform Several Former Top-10 Hits at Sunday’s Concert

(Wednesday, October 20, 2010) Five-time Grammy Award-winner and Oscar-winner Christopher Cross will delight you with his hits “Sailing,” “Ride Like the Wind,” and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)” at the hit concert series Palm Beach Post Sunday at the Meyer this weekend! Known for his smoothly sophisticated ballads, Cross will play a blend of his early hits and his latest work in a totally FREE show! Catch the show at South Florida’s best FREE concert series this Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Christopher Cross is best known for his Top Ten hit songs, “Sailing”, “Ride Like the Wind”, and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do),” the last of which he performed for the film Arthur starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. “Sailing” earned three awards at the 1981 Grammy Awards Ceremony, while “Arthur’s Theme” won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1981.

Before Christopher Cross takes the stage, you’ll be treated to South Florida Best Acoustic Rock Duo, “Taylor Road.” It’s a Sunday of music you won’t want to miss!

Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and coolers, or they can also purchase food and beverages at the concert. Guests also get free Chick-fil-A brownies handed out by Mayor Lois Frankel. You’re welcome to travel to downtown by boat, docking free of charge at one of three new City docks along Flagler Drive.
