What: $3,600 Raised in Northwood Village for Florence De George Boys and Girls Club and 37 Holiday Trees donated to local families
Who: West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, Northwood Village and Di Lemme Development Group
In true holiday spirit, the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency organized a fundraiser during its monthly Art & Wine Promenade. With the help and support of local strategic business coach John Di Lemme and his team at Di Lemme Development Group, forty three holiday trees were sold raising a total of $3,600 for the Florence De George Boys and Girls Club. Of those trees, thirty seven of the individuals who purchased one donated it back to the Boys and Girls Club to be given to a family. Eight of the trees bought and donated were beautifully decorated by the merchants of Northwood Village.
“The look on the faces of the families when they were presented with a tree is indescribable.” said Gary McKinnon, Director of the Florence De George Boys and Girls Club. “As I watched the tears streaming down their faces I could not feel more blessed knowing that we were able to help bring happiness to so many families during the holidays.”
Lowe’s donated some of the trees and decorations and local entrepreneur and motivational speaker John Di Lemme played an integral role in helping to sell the trees as he continually shares his message about the spirit of giving. The merchants of Northwood Village were thrilled to be part of such an amazing event this holiday season!
