Citizen Police and Fire Academy

When: Starts Monday Feb. 28, 2011 7 PM
Where: WPB Police Department /Community Room

The West Palm Beach Police and Fire Rescue Department will be offering a 13 week Citizen Police and Fire Academy on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. starting February 28th, 2011. Classes will be in the Community Room at the Police Department (500 Banyan Blvd). Free parking in the garage at Sapodilla and Clematis St.

The academy will cover every area of Police Department and Fire Rescue in great detail. Spend four hours on a Police ride along and tour one of the Fire Stations and check out the latest technology!

Citizens will finish this course with an understanding of police and fire work that the average citizen rarely has an opportunity to experience. Some of the areas covered will be: Tour of Communications, Uniform Patrol Division/ FTO, K–9 Unit, Firearm Training/SWAT, Crime Scene, CID, Bomb Team, and Traffic Division.
