City of West Palm Beach Election

The City of West Palm Beach recognizes the importance of every citizen’s right to vote. When a complaint was received regarding the March 8 election, the City immediately began research in conjunction with the Supervisor of Elections. The City and Supervisor of Elections have reviewed files and determined that the error affecting a single complex was inadvertent and dates back 10 years to when the complex was constructed.

The Supervisor is immediately sending new voter registration cards for the City Commission runoff on March 22 and the city is sending a notice welcoming the new voters. In the Mayor’s race, Commissioner Jeri Muoio will be certified as the winner. In discussions with election experts there would be no basis for a successful legal challenge to the March 8 election.
