Spring Schedule Announced for Clematis by Night

For live music this Spring, there’s not “hotter spot to chill” than Clematis by Night. From 6-9 pm every Thursday night, this FREE weekly event that now overlooks the new waterfront in Downtown West Palm Beach, features live concerts by the area’s best rock, R&B, reggae, Latin, blues, soul and swing bands. Guests can also enjoy tasty food and drinks, and fun in fountain.

In addition to the band performances each week (a complete calendar listing is included below), each week has a featured theme to enhance the already popular event.

First Thursday: “Classic cars on Clematis” theme where local car clubs display their sweet rides.

Second Thursday: Check out high-end motorcycles from the “The Enforcers Motorcycle Club.”

Third Thursday: Check out booths from the eclectic and distinctive merchants of Northwood Village, featuring everything from hand-made jewelry to great food.

Fourth Thursday: Clematis by Night goes “old school” as we flip the stage towards Clematis Street and feature some of Clematis by Night’s favorite traditions.

Marijah is a multi-talented, singer, songwriter and percussionist whose dynamic performance is both energizing, passionate and soul stirring! Singing since the age of five and drumming since her late teens, she is equally gifted in both arenas, and her versatility enables her to fit in with any group of musicians performing everything from Reggae, R&B, Jazz and African music.

The Brass Evolution is a high enthusiastic energy group with true to sound horn arrangements, rotating lead and back up vocals, creative harmonies, strong danceable rhythms, including Latin percussion, combined in a original show format that characterizes their performance. They have A sound resembling groups like Chicago, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Blood Sweat and Tears, Michael Buble, Steely Dan and the like.

His music has been heard opening for artists like Jason Mraz, Bon Jovi, Sister Hazel, O.A.R., Fall Out Boy and Edwin McCain to name a few. He opened for The Steve Miller Band at SunFest 2009 and is excited to make his return to Clematis by Night. The night will be a mix of covers and originals from his new fan funded EP “Live. Love. Learn”.

Performing modern & alternative rock covers and occasionally reaching all the way back to a few 60s and 70s tunes, Datura Street Band’s breadth is impressive. Front man Jeff Clemens, keyboardist Chuck Wildes, guitarist Shelby Rael, bassist Keith Howard and drummer Craig Stone provide authenticity and credibility, each having played in front of throngs of thousands with various bands throughout the years.
