Spring 2012 Schedule Announced for Screen on the Green

Screen on the Green, the popular West Palm Beach monthly event where a family friendly film is shown for FREE on a big screen under the stars, has announced its spring 2012 line-up. Films are shown on the second Friday of each month from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the Waterfront Commons Great Lawn.

Movie: We Bought A Zoo, rated PG

EXCLUSIVE: See this film before it’s available to rent!

Set in Southern California, a father, Matt Damon, moves his young family to the countryside to renovate and re-open a struggling zoo.

The Palm Beach Zoo will bring in exotic animals for a full show before the film at 6 p.m. There will be kids crafts and activities before the screening as well. Free passes to Lion Country Safari in West Palm Beach will be raffled off during the evening.

The animated tale of a criminal mastermind named Gru who uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme to steal the moon. However, their love profoundly changes him for the better.

This classic film celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2012. A young boy, Elliot, befriends an extra-terrestrial he calls E.T. who is stranded on Earth. Elliot finds the courage to defy the authorities on his mission to get E.T. back to his home planet before being captured.
