South Florida’s “hottest spot to chill,” Clematis by Night, has announced its spring 2012 entertainment line-up. From 6-9 p.m. every Thursday night, this FREE weekly event overlooking the new West Palm Beach waterfront features live concerts by the area’s best Rock, R&B, Reggae, Latin, Blues, and Soul bands. Guests can also enjoy food and drinks, and fun in the fountain.
In addition to the band performances each week (a complete calendar listing is included below), each week has a featured theme to enhance the already popular event.

Band: SOLID☆GOLD™ (Pop/Variety/R&B)
Voted the #1 band in the Palm Beaches (2008 to present), this award-winning band features many themed shows such as ‘Dancing Through The Decades,’ ‘Studio 54 Dance Party,’ a ‘Motown Revue’ and Special Holiday Shows. The members have worked and recorded with many notable names, including Michael Bolton, The Temptations, The Spinners, George Duke, Ashford and Simpson, Patti Austin, Herbie Mann, Dennis Yost & the Classics IV.

Big Al & the Heavyweights hail from New Orleans, Louisiana. The band fuses their many musical influences of Jazz, Blues, Zydeco, Cajun, Rock and Swamp Pop into a powerful brand of Blues.

Boss Groove is a seven-piece wall of sound that continues to be in charge of the deepest rhythms and incredible performances around. Playing a blend of Rock, Funk, R&B, Hip Hop and Ska, Boss Groove serves up some of pop music’s more difficult compositions.

Band: KINGS COUNTY (Party Rock)
KINGS COUNTY is a high-energy party rock band from Orlando, Florida that guarantees to rock the house. Originally from New York, the band was hired by Disney World as the house band at Pleasure Island. The band has played shows from Maine to New Orleans, and internationally at the Hard Rock Café in Cancun, Mexico. KINGS COUNTY has performed with Styx, Hootie and the Blowfish, Joan Jett, 38 Special, Duran Duran, The B 52’s and Foreigner.

Marijah is a multi-talented, singer, songwriter and percussionist whose dynamic performances are both energizing and passionate. She has been singing since the age of five and drumming since her late teens. Her versatility enables her to fit in with any group of musicians performing everything from Reggae, R&B, Jazz and African music.

Singer/Songwriter Jesse Young performs upbeat, catchy pop/rock “ear candy.” He has opened for artists such as Jason Mraz, Bon Jovi, Sister Hazel, O.A.R., Fall Out Boy and Edwin McCain. Jesse opened for The Steve Miller Band at SunFest 2009, and is excited to make his return to West Palm Beach for Clematis by Night. Riptide has been rocking South Florida since 2002 with an eclectic selection of Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Blues, R&B, Oldies, Country and Dance music. Riptide’s energy is unmatched and unpredictable behind their sax wielding front man. The interactive band plays music by artists such as Tom Petty, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Elvis Presley, James Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The group is heavily influenced by modern music, but still plays a great variety of music from the 50’s through today. They have shared the stage with bands such as Everclear, The Whalers, Christopher Cross, Sister Hazel and many more. Taylor Road’s lead singer/guitarist, Adam Fine, who grew up in the West Palm Beach area, can be seen playing throughout Florida as a solo acoustic act, as a duo, a trio, or with his full band.

A band on the cutting edge of Reggae, Sweet Justice weighs in with an energizing sound and style that has taken the South Florida music scene by storm. The group’s latest album and second release, Can’t Slow Down, confirms the originality and magnetic appeal of this dynamic and soulful brotherhood whose members hail from an eclectic assortment of Caribbean Islands. They are joined for special performances by an African djembe drummer from Senegal.
