Art Tile Mural Project Ribbon Cutting

When: Monday, April 30, 2012, at 4:00 p.m.

Where: Library Lobby (west wall) (aka Urban Living Room)

The Art Tile Mural project, sponsored by the City’s Art in Public Places Committee, is part of a Public Art Program that was initiated in 2007, and launched on April 16, 2009, as part of the grand opening for the newly constructed City Center. The concept was conceived as a community-wide project that allowed everyone the opportunity to create a work of art on a 4”x6” wood block (“tile”) to be displayed at City Center.

The City Art in Public Places (“AIPP”) Committee reviewed the tiles and developed a conceptual design for the Art Tile Mural to be installed in the Library lobby.

On October 3, 2011, the City Commission approved the design concept and location for the Art Tile Mural Project to be located on the west wall of the “Urban Living Room” located on the corridor area between the Library and the Palm Beach Photographic Centre entrances.
