The City of West Palm Beach is planning a routine maintenance of the system’s water lines from July 30, 2012 to August 15, 2012.
During that time period, residents who receive water from the City of West Palm Beach may notice a slight chlorine taste or odor in their water. This will not pose any health risks. If customers prefer, they can place an open container of water in the refrigerator for a few hours to allow the chlorine to dissipate.
If necessary, it is suggested that hospitals, dialysis clinics, users of home dialysis machines, owners of tropical fish and managers of stores and restaurants with fish and shellfish holding tanks may want to seek advice regarding their personal needs.
This process will affect all West Palm Beach, Town of Palm Beach, Town of South Palm Beach and unincorporated area residents that get drinking water from The City of West Palm Beach.
Should you need more information on this change in the water treatment process, please call the City of West Palm Beach, Public Utilities Department at 561-822-2200
