4th on Flagler wins several awards in a world-wide INTERNATIONAL competition
WPB GreenMarket receives international honors
West Palm Beach (October 1, 2012) – When it comes to putting on events for the public, no one does it better than the West Palm Beach Community Events Division!
The City of West Palm Beach has received nine…YES NINE…awards from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) for it’s work on:

The WPB GreenMarket
Sand & Sea-Sun’s Greetings
Sunday on the Waterfront – Battle of the Decades
The City of West Palm Beach was not only judged against events from across the United States, but also countless international events as well. These included the Hanseong Bakje Cultural Festival in Seoul, South Korea, the Krakow Festival in Krakow Poland, the Rotterdam Festivals in the Netherlands and the Shambhala Music Festival in British Columbia, Canada just to name a few!
Four Gold awards, three Silver awards, and two Bronze awards were given to West Palm Beach in the following categories:

4th on Flagler: Best TV Promotion
Sand & Sea-Sun’s Greetings: Best New Event
4th on Flagler: Best T-shirt Design
GreenMarket: Best Street Banner
Sunday on the Waterfront: Best Event (within existing festival)
GreenMarket: Best Other Merchandise
GreenMarket: Best Misc. Printed Materials
4th on Flagler: Best New Promotion
“Working on these events is a true labor of love,” said Mary Pinak, Community Events Manager at the City of West Palm Beach. “Providing world-class entertainment and events for our residents and visitors is part of the fabric that makes West Palm Beach such a desirable place to live and play. These awards are a nice feather in the cap, but our true reward is watching the hundreds of thousands who enjoy City events every year.”
The IFEA recognizes the outstanding accomplishments by festivals and events around the world. The awards were announced during the IFEA’s 57th Annual Convention in Denver, Colorado.
