(West Palm Beach, FL) – As part of West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio’s ongoing “Open Access” campaign, the Mayor will be holding regular, weekly office hours for members of the news media.
Beginning Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 and continuing each Wednesday on a trial basis, Mayor Muoio will be available from 10:00am – 10:30am to answer reporters’ questions on the issues of the week. The thirty minute availability will be held on the second floor of City Hall.
It is open to recognized members of the news media who cover the City of West Palm Beach. The sessions will be on the record and video recorded by the city for possible broadcast on the city cable TV station, posting on the city website, social media sites or other outlets. Interested members of the media are asked to attend in person. No phone calls, please. We respectfully ask that if you publicize these sessions, you make it clear they are not intended to be open to the public.
These sessions may be used to break news or may simply be a chance to ask the mayor about the current issues involving the city. The primary purpose is to give news media regular access to the Mayor if desired. If we are planning on making any news, we will do our best to let you know ahead of time.
We invite all recognized members of the media including reporters, editors, members of management, and news directors to attend.
