Job Fair Attracts Hundreds of Young Job Seekers

(West Palm Beach, FL) – Hundreds of young adults showed up today looking for work during the first ever Regional Multicity Youth Job Fair. The event, held at West Palm Beach’s Gaines Park, was a joint effort between the cities of West Palm Beach, Riviera Beach and Mangonia Park.
The purpose of the event was to find permanent jobs for individuals between the ages of 16 and 25. Nearly 50 businesses attended the event seeking new employees.
West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio partnered with Mayor Thomas Masters of Riviera Beach as well as Mayor William Albury of Mangonia Park to hold the regional employment effort.

All three mayors have signed on to President Obama’s third-year call to mayors, businesses, non-profits and government agencies to push to hire young people. Doing so, the President has said, will stimulate the economy, keep kids off the street and communities safer.
