Free Music! Mandel Public Library Now Offers Free Downloads!

It’s free…and it’s yours to keep!

July 11, 2013

(West Palm Beach, FL) – When it comes to downloading music, the two best words might be: FREE & LEGAL!

Now the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach is the place to be for free music.

Thanks to funding from the Library Foundation, library card holders can download three songs each week at no charge.

And here’s another great word when it comes to downloading material: FOREVER!

All the songs you download are yours to keep forever.  They don’t expire and you can share them among your devices.

The music is available through a new partnership with a service called “Freegal Music” (a combination of those two best words…Free & Legal.)  Library patrons who have valid library cards can access the service.  “Freegal Music” gives you access to millions of songs from over 10,000 labels including the Sony Music catalog.

You are able to access the music several ways. You can visit the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach online by visiting the city’s website:  You can also download apps for “Freegal Music” for either iPhones or Google phones.

“This is just another way we’re keeping pace with the latest needs of our patrons,” said Library Director Chris Murray. “This new service fits right in with our commitment to provide top quality media and other material for our patrons.”

For those tech-savvy users, you may want to note that it might be easier to download the music to your computer, and then transfer it to any mobile devices.
