(West Palm Beach, FL) – If anyone shopping at the new Outlet Mall calls 9-1-1, firefighters and police officers need to know exactly where they are, and how best to reach them.
That was just one of the issues covered during a security walk through just days before the new Outlet Mall opens its doors to the public.

Members of the West Palm Beach Police and Fire Departments walked the property Tuesday for a briefing from mall security. Mall officials went over everything from closed circuit cameras to where to hold shoplifters.
“Any time you have a new property like this which will attract as many visitors as this one will, making sure your first responders are familiar with the property is critical,” said West Palm Beach Police Chief Vincent Demasi. “We also need to make sure the property’s security infrastructure is ready to go.”
“We all know that when responding to a medical emergency minutes count,” said West Palm Beach Fire Chief Carlos Cabrera. “We need to make sure our firefighters know the in’s and out’s of the property and can reach a patient as quickly as possible.”
The mall is expected to open to the public Friday, February 14th.
