NORTH END DESIGN EVENT CONTINUES UNTIL MARCH 7TH

March 4, 2014

(West Palm Beach, FL) – Hundreds of members of the public have been turning out to help redesign their city.

This week, the City of West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is giving the public a chance to share what they think the city’s north end neighborhoods should look like.

This is the first major initiative by the city’s CRA since the decision to hire an outside contractor to run the Agency. Today, several urban planners and designers unveiled their preliminary designs based on community feedback over the past several days.

“This is a unique opportunity for the public to have a direct impact on what is built and where,” said CRA Executive Director Jon Ward. “CRA’s can provide the expert guidance, but the people here who are taking an interest are the ones who will ensure whatever is built here thrives and grows.”

On Friday, March 7th, the public will have a chance to take a look at the preliminary ideas created over the course of the week and give their feedback.
