(West Palm Beach, FL) – In an effort to generate new revenue, West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio announced today a deal to sell naming rights for the city’s City Hall & City Center complex.

Beginning at the start of the new fiscal year in October, City Hall will be renamed “West Palm Beach Coca-Cola City Hall.”

The agreement is a two year experimental deal and is the first of its kind in the country.

“We thought today, April 1st, would be the ideal time to announce our new idea,” said Mayor Jeri Muoio.

The Coca-Cola Company will pay the city $2.3 million dollars per year for the first two years, with an option to extend the agreement in 2016.

As part of the agreement, the Mayor and City Commissioners will also be required to display large cups of the soft drink in front of them while on the dais during commission meetings.
