West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio spoke during the event revealing the plans.
The station will be constructed along Quadrille Boulevard between Datura Street and Evernia Street.
“There is no doubt as to the benefit an All Aboard station will bring to our city, and we continue to look forward to the economic impact for our city,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio.”
“Together with other projects underway or in the planning stage, the All Aboard station will be a key component in the redevelopment of our Quadrille Boulevard corridor. The City and All Aboard Florida continue to meet on a regular basis and continue to work on the remaining details of the project,” said Muoio.
*A NOTE TO READERS: Unlike most projects, in this case the City has no authority to regulate the design of the station. This is because railroads have complete autonomy to build what they please on their own right-of-way free from city design guidelines. Because the station will be constructed on railroad property, the city has no jurisdiction over its design.
