City Continues Restoring Wilderness Park

June 19, 2007 – City workers are continuing renovations and upgrades to Apoxee (pronounced uh-po-ee) Park, a wilderness area set aside for preservation, environmental education, and public enjoyment.  City crews have been treating and eradicating more than 75 acres of invasive and damaging vegetation, helping restore the park’s natural ecosystem.

Wonder of Water Tour

05/10/07 – There are still a limited number of spaces available on the fascinating “Wonder of Water” tour to be held this Saturday, May 12, 2007, beginning at 9:00 A.M.  This free tour of the City’s water system begins at the Grassy Waters Preserve South Side Nature Center, located at 8537 Northlake Boulevard.
