Employee Compensation

The Compensation & Employment Division operates under the Human Resources Department. The Compensation & Employment Division provides a wide range of services which includes;

  • Updating and maintaining the City’s Salary Plan and job descriptions
  • Conducting job audits
  • Conducting employment verifications
  • Implementing Salary changes as per bargaining agreements
  • Processing performance/merit reviews
  • Processing changes in employee’s records such as tax changes, address changes, and salary/position changes

Annual Review
The City has a formal employee performance review process that review performance based on job-related standards.

Classification and Pay Plan

The Classification and Pay Plan consists of the job descriptions, step plans, pay grades, salary ranges, special payment provisions and incentive programs.
