The City “rolls out the red carpet” to welcome our newest team members.
As a new City employee, you will attend Orientation at City Hall to learn our culture, policies, procedures, benefits, training opportunities, and more. In addition, your Orientation experience will continue at your department where you will receive a tour, meet your co-workers, learn about your job, and more.
Our Orientation at City Hall is green!
During your Orientation, you will be using a computer to view materials and information. This not only reduces paper usage, it also creates an opportunity for you to frequently access the same website to review the information.

Employee Orientation Testimonials
“As a new employee who moved from Arkansas to work with the City of West Palm Beach, I appreciate the time and effort put in by the Human Resources Department to ensure that I am familiar with all the correct information and proper procedures to begin a successful career in West Palm Beach. The new employee orientation website is especially helpful, as everything I might need to know is available online and is easily accessible from home. It is clear that HR respects and values the employees of the city based on the depth of training they provide to new employees. It is my hope that I can take what I learned from HR to enrich the lives of the citizens of this beautiful city.”
Amanda Garrison, Teen Librarian, Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach
“Orientation was very informative and well thought out. My original impression was the City cares… by providing enough information so we could make knowledgeable decisions in different areas.”
Dilcy Hurtado, Payroll Supervisor, Finance Department.
