FOOD VENDORS - THREE GROUP CLASSIFICATIONS

  1. If the food vendor has a valid and currently effective occupational license and State of Florida Division of Hotels and Restaurants license for their restaurant or other place of business, then no other license or fee is due.

  2. If the food vendor has a Division of Hotels and Restaurants approved mobile food vending unit or Health Department approved mobile food vending cart, then the vendor must apply and upon payment of the occupational license tax rate schedule of $100.00 obtain a City mobile vendors license. Prior to issuance of the mobile vendors license, the vendor must make application to the Police Department to be fingerprinted, receive a background check and obtain an identification card.

  3. If the food vendor is established specifically for the event and does not meet the previous two group's criteria, then the vendor must contact the Division of Hotels and Restaurants regarding a Temporary Food Service Event License.

Note: The special event occupational license tax rate is per event. The city individual vendor occupational license expires September 30 of each year. It is the responsibility of the event promoter to inform the State of Florida Division of Hotels and Restaurants at 954/958-5520 of his/her event times, dates, number and type of food vendors.
