Cold Weather Shelters Open Tonight, Monday, Feb. 23, 2026

The Palm Beach County Division of Emergency Management has activated the Emergency Operations Center. An extreme cold weather advisory has been issued for tonight. The Westgate Recreation Center, 3691 Oswego Ave., West Palm Beach, is the nearest shelter to the City. If you see someone in need, please direct them to this shelter. The shelter will remain open until 9 a.m. Tues., Feb. 24.

North Flagler Drive Underground Utility Work to begin Monday, Feb. 23

To support critical underground utility improvements along North Flagler Drive and 26th Street, the City of West Palm Beach will be implementing a series of temporary road closures and detours starting the week of February 23, 2026. Click on the link for details and suggested detour.
