OSGS is offering Art and Art History students an opportunity to Intern with us. We are a new gallery located in Historic Northwood Village, you can read about us at www.OSGSart.com.
Students will get first hand experience on how to run a gallery from the recruitment of artists to framing works of art. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to learn about the process of showing their work in a gallery, opening their own business, curating a collection, dealing directly with artists, and the process of designing and framing works of art and memorabilia.
While we are not at a point where we are able to pay interns, the experience alone is far and beyond any you might get elsewhere. As an artist that interned in museums (unpaid) while completing my masters degree, I (Evelyn) found the experience to be extremely helpful and valuable in my career choice. Jonathon and I want to offer you the same experience and knowledge.
We are offering internships for each semester and across the summer. We will work with you and your department’s internship coordinator on an individual basis on scheduling so that you will reap the most benefits from your time with us and have it not interfere with your class schedules and/or other employment.
