Thursday, April 24th, 2014

got drugsThe National Take Back Initiative (Pill Take Back) is Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 am- 2 pm. The three locations are:

1. West Palm Beach Police Department located at 600 Banyan Blvd

2. West Palm Beach Fire Station #2 located at 4301 S. Dixie Hwy

3. Palm Beach Outlet Mall Police substation located at 1751 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd (use the Congress Ave entrance, it is across from the Chase Bank)

This is a collaborative effort with state and local law enforcement agencies focused on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from our nation’s medicine cabinets. A national take- back day will provide a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction. This one day effort will bring national focus to the issue of pharmaceutical controlled abuse. The program provides an opportunity for law enforcement, prevention, treatment, and the business community to collaborate and establish a safe collection site for all.
