Consensus by City Commission to move forward on Proposed Energy Performance Contract

The City of West Palm Beach has been working with Energy Systems Group (ESG) on an energy performance contract for the City. The proposed energy conservation measures (ECMs) were presented to the City Commission at a special workshop on August 22.  The City has contracted with a third party verifier on this project. Donahue and Associates are consultants with expertise in municipal energy performance contracting and are advising the City on best ECMs, costs and savings. They also presented their report on the proposed energy conservation measures. There was a consensus of the City Commission to move the project forward. It is expected that the contract will come before the Commission in September or early October.

See the Energy Performance Contract Page for more information on this project and to see presentations and reports.
