Help to beautify and restore your watershed Saturday, May 18, with Grassy Waters Preserve

May 18, 2013 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Volunteers Needed! Help to beautify and restore your watershed this Saturday with Grassy Waters Preserve   The M-Canal transfers your fresh water supply from Grassy Waters Preserve to downtown West Palm Beach.  Help us restore the M-Canal near Haverhill Rd by planting its banks with beautiful native Fakahatchee and Muhly grasses. These grasses will not only create habitat for our native wildlife, but also improve our water quality and reduce flooding.

Date: Saturday, May 18th Time: 8:30am-12:30pm

What to Bring: Refillable water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and outdoor-appropriate clothing. Hat and sunscreen recommended.

Where: About 0.5mi south of the intersection of 45th St and Haverhill Rd. on the north bank of the M-Canal. Look for an orange cone marking the entrance.

For more information or to sign up to volunteer, contact Grassy Waters Volunteer Coordinator Cindy Bush Email: grassywaters@comcast.net
