Restoration Planting, June 8

June 8, 2013 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Volunteers Needed

Help to beautify and restore your watershed with Grassy Waters Preserve.

The M-Canal transfers your fresh water supply from Grassy Waters Preserve to downtown West Palm Beach. Help us restore the M-Canal near Haverhill Road by planting its banks with native grasses, cypress and saw palmetto. This restoration project will increase water storage, improve water quality, reduce flooding and improve habitat for area wildlife.

What to Bring: Please bring a refillable water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and outdoor appropriate clothing. Hat and sunscreen recommended.

Where: Approximately 0.5 mi south of the intersection of 45th Street and Haverhill Rd. Parking will be on Haverhill Rd., just after the M-Canal bridge on the northwest side.

RSVP Required

Please sign up by Friday June 7th
