Citizenship Classes at Vickers House South

The Citizenship Preparation Class at the Vickers House will prepare you to pass the Citizenship Exam but will also focus on Educating New Immigrants in our Community on how to become good neighbors as well as good citizens.

We will teach American History, Geography, Principles of American Democracy, Our System of Government, But also important information on How to Live in our Local Society such as: Crime Prevention techniques, How to Report a crime, Property Code Issues, Requirements for voting and how to vote, What Health immunizations are needed for children to enter school, and many other aspects of how to integrate into American culture and to become involved citizens. We will also encourage Our New Immigrant Neighbors to become involved in Neighborhood watches.

This is an 8 week course to prepare you to pass the Citizenship Test. You will also receive assistance in filling out your N-400 Form (Application for Naturalization & Citizenship).
