WPB Connect iPhone Application

WPB Connect is the City of West Palm Beach’s official iOS application made to work on the iPhone. It is one of the best ways to stay in touch with the City’s news, events and services. Additionally, it gives users of the application the ability to report non-emergency situations to City staff.

Main Page:
When you first open the application, you will be presented with the iWPB main screen. You will be given several options that you can follow to communicate with the City of West Palm Beach.
Reporting Issues in the City:
iWPB’s first option in the application is to report an issue. When you select this option you will be taken to a screen that will allow you to communicate your concern to the City. After the screen has loaded, you will have to paths that you can take to report the issue to the City. You can click on the button labeled “Call 822-2222,” the City’s non-emergency hotline. You also have the option of e-mailing the dispatch center that answers the calls. If you choose to e-mail the City, you can choose the type of issue you are reporting, take a picture of it or select a picture you already have of the issue, and type in a message to be sent to the City describing what is wrong.

Mobile Services:
Tapping iServices will bring you to a listing of the City’s iServices. Currently Mobile Versions of the City’s site have been created for the City’s Event Calendar, Construction Services eGovPLus, Department Directory, Library GoMobile, Mayor and Commission and Permit Status.

Viewing City Events:
Tapping on WPB Events will list the next 50 events and their dates from the City’s event calendar located at http://www.wpb.org/CityCalendar/. Tapping on one of these listings will load a web page with that event’s details.

Viewing City News:
Tapping on WPB News will list the last 20 news stories taken from http://www.wpb.org/newsroom/. Tapping on the listing will launch a web page with that news story.

Keep Up To Date With The City’s Social Media:
Through the application, a simple tap will allow you to interact with the City via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
